FAQ

Q1: Why do you not have date(s) for the wedding(s)?
Fear not, we'll get married, and we'll throw some kickass celebrations.

But FIRST, we must take care of two humongous things in our lives: D's thesis, and M's visa.

D is working hard on his PhD thesis, but big projects like this are wily creatures, and unpredictable. It'll get done when it gets done, and we can't leave Perth until it's submitted.

M has to wait for her visa application to be reviewed. It would be difficult and risky to leave Australia before she is granted residency, and we don't expect a decision until maybe May 2015. We're hoping the bureaucracy will work faster than that, but we can't count on it.

As soon as it looks like the end is in sight for these big projects, we'll leap into action and we'll tell you all about it.

Q2: Why are you having four weddings? Have you possibly gone mad?
Well, maybe, but that's besides the point.

The point is that the people we love are all over the world, and we have deep connections to each of our four cities. We can't imagine having a single party that couldn't possibly include everyone.

Besides, we get to have FOUR AWESOME PARTIES and you're invited. How cool is that?

Q3: Which one is the "real" wedding? Isn't this more like multiple receptions/engagement parties?
Nonsense. A wedding is the act of sharing our commitment to one another with our family and friends, and we plan to include some kind of ceremony at every event.

Q4: Why are you referring to yourselves as "D" and "M"?
We're a bit shy and don't want to internet to know our names.
